The sessions of the XLVI Regular Meeting of the Latin American Council of SELA will be held at the headquarters of the Permanent Secretariat through the Zoom platform.<\/p>\n

The Preparatory Stage will be held on 16 November as of 11:00 a.m. and the Ministerial Stage on 17 November as of 12:00 p.m. (Venezuela time).<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n\n

ITEM I. ORGANIZATION OF WORKS<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

An informal meeting of Heads of Delegation will take place prior to the formal opening of the Preparatory Stage, with a view to unifying criteria as regards the following issues:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Election of the members of the Bureau: consultations will be made to elect the Chairman of the Council, the First Vice Chairman, the Second Vice Chairman and the Rapporteur<\/li>\n
  2. Draft organization of works for the meeting<\/li>\n
  3. Agenda for the Preparatory Stage<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In accordance with Article 22 of the Regulations of the Latin American Council, this supreme organ of SELA should approve the Agenda. Once the Bureau has been elected, the Latin American Council should consider the draft organization of works (Part II of this document) and the Draft Agenda (SP\/CL\/XLVI.O\/DT N\u00ba 1-20).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    ITEM II. ANNUAL REPORT OF THE PERMANENT SECRETARIAT<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n

    The Permanent Secretary will submit for consideration of the Latin American Council the \u201cForty-fourth Annual Report of the Permanent Secretariat\u201d (SP\/CL\/XLVI.O\/DT N\u00ba 3-20), which includes the activities carried out since the last Regular Meeting of the Council to date.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    ITEM III. WORK PROGRAMME FOR THE YEAR 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n

    The Permanent Secretariat will submit for consideration of the Latin American Council the \u201cDraft Work Programme for the year 2021\u201d (SP\/CL\/XLVI.O\/DT N\u00ba 4-20). In accordance with the provisions set forth in Decision N\u00ba 440, the following three thematic areas will be dealt with: i) Intra-Regional Relations; ii) Economic and Technical Cooperation; and iii) Extra-Regional Relations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    ITEM IV. BUDGET OF THE PERMANENT SECRETARIAT FOR THE YEAR 2021 AND ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. Budget<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      The Permanent Secretariat will submit for consideration of the Latin American Council the \u201cDraft Administrative Budget of the Permanent Secretariat for the year 2021\u201d (SP\/CL\/XLVI.O\/DT N\u00ba 5-20), along with its corresponding explanatory preamble.<\/p>\n

        2.1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Audit Report on the Financial Statements of the Permanent Secretariat at 31 December 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

        The Permanent Secretariat will submit for consideration of the Latin American Council the \u201cAudit Report on the Financial Statements of the Permanent Secretariat at 31 December 2019\u201d (SP\/CL\/XLVI.O\/DT N\u00ba 6-20).<\/p>\n

        2.2\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Audit Proposal for the year 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n

        The Permanent Secretariat will submit for consideration of the Latin American Council the \u201cAudit Proposal for the year 2020\u201d (SP\/CL\/XLVI.O\/DT N\u00ba 7-20).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

        ITEM V. INSTITUTIONAL MATTERS<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n

        Election of two Members of the Administrative Tribunal of SELA<\/p>\n

        The Latin American Council will proceed with the Election of two Members of the Administrative Tribunal of SELA. Document SP\/CL\/XLVI.O\/DT N\u00b0 8-20 will be submitted for that purpose.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

        ITEM VI. OTHER MATTERS<\/strong><\/p>\n
