{"id":121309,"date":"2022-06-27T17:10:00","date_gmt":"2022-06-27T22:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/selasite.azurewebsites.net\/?p=121309"},"modified":"2023-07-03T17:13:15","modified_gmt":"2023-07-03T22:13:15","slug":"walter-verri-stresses-that-the-ippalc-will-allow-us-to-design-more-efficient-tools","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rmtsolutions.net\/sela\/en\/walter-verri-stresses-that-the-ippalc-will-allow-us-to-design-more-efficient-tools\/","title":{"rendered":"Walter Verri stresses that the IPPALC \u201cwill allow us to design more efficient tools\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Public Policy Index for Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in Latin America and the Caribbean was launched in Montevideo with the participation of government authorities and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe relevant and quality information that comes from this index is an input of great impact, because it will allow us to design more efficient tools,\u201d said the Undersecretary of Industry, Energy and Mining, Walter Verri, at the index launch event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/image-10.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-121313\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The OECD indicator is prepared with the participation of public and private actors from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay, in addition to the Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA) and CAF-development bank of Latin America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Verri appreciated Uruguay&#8217;s hosting of this event and stressed that 99 percent of the country&#8217;s companies are MSMEs, which account for two-thirds of the country&#8217;s jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/image-11.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-121314\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The official also considered that there is a significant \u201crecovery\u201d in the sector after the crisis generated by the pandemic of the new coronavirus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the slogan \u201cTowards an inclusive, resilient and sustainable recovery,\u201d this edition considers the impact and circumstances caused by the health emergency and focuses on the digitalisation of companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The survey will be conducted this Monday and Tuesday on a web platform designed by the OECD and SELA, through a form that will be developed during these working days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/image-12.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-121315\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The indicator measures the institutional framework, the operating environment for the implementation and simplification of procedures, access to financing, innovation and technology, productive transformation and market access and internationalisation of these companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Head of the OECD Division, Jos\u00e9 Antonio Ardav\u00edn;
