Econom\u00eda chilena crece 4,0 pct en 2018, su mayor ritmo en cinco a\u00f1os<\/strong><\/p>\n

5 de febrero, (Reuters).- La econom\u00eda chilena creci\u00f3 un 4,0 por ciento en 2018, su mayor ritmo de expansi\u00f3n en cinco a\u00f1os, en medio de una recuperaci\u00f3n de la inversi\u00f3n y un mejor desempe\u00f1o de la industria minera, seg\u00fan cifras reveladas el martes por el Banco Central.<\/p>\n

El balance anual ocurre pese a que en el \u00faltimo mes del a\u00f1o, el Indicador Mensual de Actividad Econ\u00f3mica (Imacec) se expandi\u00f3 un 2,6 por ciento interanual, por debajo de las expectativas del mercado.<\/div>\n

El desempe\u00f1o de diciembre fue el segundo m\u00e1s bajo del a\u00f1o, luego de crecer un 2,1 por ciento interanual en septiembre.<\/div>\n

El Imacec minero subi\u00f3 un 0,5 por ciento en diciembre, mientras que el no Minero aument\u00f3 un 2,8 por ciento interanual, favorecido por el sector servicios.<\/div>\n

En tanto, el Imacec desestacionalizado baj\u00f3 un 0,7 por ciento en diciembre.<\/div>\n

Las cifras definitivas del crecimiento del Producto Interno Bruto (PIB) ser\u00e1n reveladas el 18 de marzo.<\/div>\n
