2026 at a<strong> meeting of the Group for Dialogue and Coordination of Latin American and Caribbean Countries (GRULAC)<\/strong>, where <strong>the Ambassador of Argentina in Venezuela, \u00d3scar Laborde,<\/strong> who chairs the Latin American Council of SELA, highlighted the work of the organisation in favour of convergence and <strong>the \u00abreorganisation of integration\u00bb in the region.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/image-2.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-133641\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For his part, the Permanent Secretary of SELA,<strong> Ambassador Clarems Endara<\/strong>, made a presentation on the Panorama of Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as the <strong>balance of the organization&#8217;s multi-year Work Programme<\/strong>, which, he stressed, is aimed at developing policies to boost trade in the region, achieve resilient economies, strengthen productive linkages and move towards sustainable models.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Furthermore, he assured that, in the face of the regional and global challenge,<strong> the deepening of regional integration is an essential component<\/strong> in any strategy that the Latin American and Caribbean countries decide to implement. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/image-3.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-133642\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the meeting, the <strong>Ambassador of Colombia to Venezuela, Armando Benedetti, expressed the need to develop exchange mechanisms<\/strong> in order to strengthen alliances and develop the economy among the countries of the region.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Ambassador of Barbados in Venezuela, Aquinas Clarke,<\/strong> highlighted the importance for both the Caribbean and Latin American economies to counteract the results of the pandemic, through confidence building, in order to achieve better social development.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For his part, the <strong>Ambassador of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in Venezuela, Gareth Byno\u00e9,<\/strong> expressed the need to make progress towards a global financial architecture that accelerates transformative development for the Caribbean and the rest of Latin America.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/image-4.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-133643\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Permanent Secretary of SELA underscored the importance of institutionalizing the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) and opening a mechanism for dialogue \u00abwith concrete tasks and concrete results\u00bb in favour of regional development and integration.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Latin American Economic System of the Caribbean (SELA) presented its Work Programme for 2022 &#8211;
