{"id":92428,"date":"2022-11-30T23:41:00","date_gmt":"2022-12-01T04:41:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/selasite.azurewebsites.net\/?p=92428"},"modified":"2023-06-30T23:44:41","modified_gmt":"2023-07-01T04:44:41","slug":"foreign-minister-of-argentina-thanks-and-highlights-selas-contributions-to-integration-and-development-of-the-region","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rmtsolutions.net\/sela\/en\/foreign-minister-of-argentina-thanks-and-highlights-selas-contributions-to-integration-and-development-of-the-region\/","title":{"rendered":"Foreign Minister of Argentina thanks and highlights SELA&#8217;s contributions to integration and development of the region"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Foreign Minister of the Republic of Argentina, Santiago Cafiero, thanked the Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA) for its contributions to the development and integration of the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Within the framework of the <strong>XLVIII Regular Meeting of the Latin American Council of SELA<\/strong>, the Foreign Minister of Argentina <strong>underscored the support received by his country from SELA during its presidency pro tempore of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSELA proposed us to work together and carry out a series of activities in line with the needs and the agenda of priorities of Latin America and the Caribbean. As a result of this dialogue, <strong>this year we held three seminars, the first one on post-pandemic economic recovery strategies, then we held a seminar on food systems and disaster management, which are priority issues in CELAC&#8217;s work programme,\u201d<\/strong> Santiago Cafiero said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe last activity addressed the need to rethink a migration policy in the region and allowed us to reconsider a comprehensive migration policy that helped us reaffirm the positive vision of migration and contribute to the analysis of the necessary measures to increase its benefits with a view to development,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He added that <strong>on 16 December, a joint forum between SELA and CELAC<\/strong> will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in order to advance in the region&#8217;s integration challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<strong>Argentina is once again grateful for the work being carried out by SELA<\/strong> and its important contributions to the objective that the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean achieve greater integration and development with social inclusion,\u201d Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Argentina agradece y resalta aportes del SELA para la integraci\u00f3n y el desarrollo de la regi\u00f3n\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/qO_vlWYKasw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Foreign Minister of the Republic of Argentina, Santiago Cafiero, thanked the Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA) for its contributions to the development and integration of the region.
